MILFORD, PA — The rodeo at Malibu Ranch is held every Saturday through the Labor Day holiday weekend and is co-approved by the American Professional Rodeo Association. Participants from across the United States compete in categories of bull riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing and breakaway roping. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and rodeos begin at 7 p.m. rain or shine.
Shelly Anthony of Saylorsburg, a new competitor in barrel racing this year, has won first-place money and a buckle twice already in the 2013 professional rodeo series held at the Malibu Dude Ranch. Championship finals will be held the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
