HONESDALE, PA — A number of area bands and musicians will perform to raise money for the work of the Honesdale Area Ministerium on Saturday, September 7 in Central Park. Music will be playing on the stage from 12 noon to 7 p.m., interrupted at 5 p.m. for an ecumenical service of Holy Communion. Pastor Rob Kazinski from Central United Methodist Church will be the guest preacher, with Leanna and JR Stanton of Damascus United Methodist leading the music and Father Ed Erb worship leader.

Dave Seber, coordinator, has enlisted The Local Boys, The Paul Kellogg Band and soloist Janet Burgan and others to provide the entertainment for the afternoon. Free-will offerings will be accepted throughout.

Area churches will have stands selling food and other goods along 9th Street. In addition, a huge yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Vendors are welcome to rent a table by calling Grace Episcopal Church at 570/253-2760.
