HONESDALE, PA — On Sunday, July 21 at 2 p.m. the Wayne County Historical Society (WCHS) will host guest speaker Linus Myers, who will present a talk about a local forgotten hero, Jeremiah Gunn of Honesdale, and his involvement in the Civil War battle at Gettysburg. Gunn, who died in 1889, is buried in the Glen Dyberry Cemetery in Honesdale.

WCHS welcomes the public to a talk every Sunday this summer throughout July and August at its museum, located at 810 Main St. Visit www.waynehistorypa.org or call 570/253-3940 for a schedule of speakers.

On July 28, the Wayne County Artist’s Studio Tour will be the topic of that week’s “Sunday at the Museum” talk.
