BETHEL, NY — A celebration of music history legend Les Paul will take place on Saturday, June 15, created by Bloomingburg-based musician and technologist Gregory Ercolino and hosted at the Dancing Cat Saloon and Catskill Distilling Company.
Ercolino, a close friend of Les Paul’s and a student of the impact of electronic technology on music history, has long been intrigued by Paul’s place in that history. The event includes displays of recording technology going all the way back to wax cylinders, some of Les Paul’s guitars—like the “Les Pulverizer”— as well as a rare 1991 animated holograph of Les Paul. A culminating performance by musicians who played with Les Paul, including Lou Pallo, is set for 8 p.m. in the Distillery, followed by a Q&A session. Visit www.dancingcatsaloon.com.
