WOODBOURNE, NY — The Sullivan County Community Chorus will present its 36th annual spring concert, on Sunday, June 9 at 3 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The concert theme chosen by conductor Kevin Giroux is “L’Chaim! Honoring the Jewish Culture.”

The chorus will perform a variety of Hebrew, English and Ladino songs with inspiration taken from Jewish poetry, religious texts or stories. The “Holocaust Cantata – Songs from the Camps” is the featured work with music, lyrics and spoken texts taken from prisoners’ writings in Nazi concentration camps, now contained in the U. S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D. C.

Admission costs $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, with a suggested donation of $10 for students. Immediately following the performance, there will be a reception open to all attending the concert. For further information, call 845/794-7869.
