BETHEL, NY — This weekend the Dancing Cat Saloon and Distillery on Route 17B has a little something for everybody, starting early on Thursday, as always, with the Musicians Gathering at 7:30 p.m. in the Saloon. On Friday, April 26, local songwriter/singer Janet Burgan will present an evening of her acoustic music in the Saloon starting at 7 p.m. Joe Del Priore of The Hudson Current wrote, “She is nothing less than a vocal lava flow, sweeping over a room…” On Saturday, April 27, local favorites The New Kings with Peter Florance will heat things up in the Distillery starting at 8 p.m.

As always, Sullivan County Songwriters Circle, a gathering of local songwriters sharing their craft under the aegis of Elizabeth Rose, will meet at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the Distillery, and you can enjoy a Jazz Brunch with the Jazz Cats on Sunday at the Saloon, while enjoying specials by chef Jay Weinsten.
