YOUNGSVILLE, NY — Author and artist Helena Clare Pittman will read from her new book at Domesticities on Saturday, December 1 at 2 p.m. “Ruthie Pincus of Brooklyn” is based on Pittman’s root memories of childhood. The story is told from Ruthie’s point of view.
“Ruthie Pincus of Brooklyn” is a young adult novel that also holds appeal for adults. Pittman has written and illustrated many books, including the award-winning “A Grain of Rice,” “The Snowman’s Path,” “Crow Flies” and “The Angel Tree.” She recently painted a set of murals based on characters in children’s books for the Daniel Pearce Library in Grahamsville.
