CALLICOON, NY — Two classic films, “Rules of the Game” and “The Earrings of Madame de…” will be screened at the Callicoon Theater on Saturday, July 28 beginning at 9 a.m. Admission is free for the special event, made possible by a generous patron.
“Rules of the Game,” directed by the French great Jean Renoir, is a light comedy satirizing and skewering the bourgeoisie on the verge of World War I. “The Earrings of Madame de…” is a 1953 classic directed by Max Ophuls, detailing events that unravel after a woman pawns the earrings presented by her husband.
The theater is located at 30 Upper Main Street. Visit www.callicoontheater.com or call 845/887-4460.
