HONESDALE, PA — “Concerts in the Coop” will present The Matt Hoffmann Quartet at The Cooperage, 1030 Main St. on Friday, June 29. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and doors open at 6:45 p.m. BYOB.

Longtime locals may remember vibraphone player Matt Hoffmann as “that freakishly talented kid from Equinunk,” who, as a teenager, shared the stage with Lionel Hampton. These days, he performs in jazz and swing ensembles on stages throughout the country—The Blue Note, The Jazz Corner, and Lincoln Center included. Joining him are trumpeter and composer Dylan Canterbury, jazz guitarist Sam Lester and Mario Pietra on upright bass.

“Concerts in the Coop” is a monthly summer concert series at The Cooperage arranged by John Kascht. The Cooperage is operated by the The Cooperage Project, a non-profit organization that seeks to build community through arts, education and good old fashioned fun. For more information visit www.thecooperageproject.org or call 570/253-2020. Donations will be collected at the door.
