HONESDALE, PA — Roots & Rhythm, Honesdale’s free one-day music and arts event, now in its seventh consecutive year, will take place on Saturday, June 16. The festival showcases talent in every genre of music, as well as arts and crafts, from mid-morning until late at night. The headlining act (TBA) takes the Central Park main stage at approximately 7:40 p.m.
Main stage acts already signed up include Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys, a vibrant acoustic bluegrass band from Vermont; the blues-rock group The Nouveaux Honkies; and The Sweetback Sisters. Some 200 volunteers help make the festival happen each year. It is sponsored by the Greater Honesdale Partnership and the Wayne County Arts Alliance. Visit www.honesdalerootsand rhythm.com.
