PORT JERVIS, NY — Works by Port Jervis High School Art students will be included in the May show at the UpFront Exhibition Space, sponsored by the Port Jervis Council for the Arts.
Port Jervis High School Art teachers Bess Moran (Art Curriculum Coordinator), Ashley Kaufmann and Eleanor Horst have challenged students to view and question prevailing assumptions and explore new forms of self expression. A variety of works, including ceramics, printmaking, drawing, digital photography, painting, collage and woodworking will be exhibited.
The opening reception will be held on Saturday, May 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature live entertainment provided by selected students from the Port Jervis High School Band. Refreshments will be served. The show will run for 1 week ending May 19.
UpFront Exhibition Space is located at 31 Jersey Avenue and is open Thursdays through Sundays from 12 noon to 5 p.m. or by appointment; call 845/856-2727
