PORT JERVIS, NY — Gillinder Glass is having a Design-a-Sun-Catcher contest. The winning design will be made into a mold; the sun catchers will be made at the Gillinder Glass factory and will be available at the Gillinder Glass Store.

If you would like help designing a sun catcher, come to the Hub at the Port Jervis Free Library on Tuesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m.; you will have access to a laptop and the guidance of a trainer. To reserve a seat, email thehub@portjervislibrary.org. You can also design a sun catcher on your own and submit the design, in pdf form, to Allyson Gillinder at webmaster@gillin derglassstore.com

The design should represent Port Jervis, be black and white with no shading, and should fit inside a circle of no more than 3.5 inches in diameter.

The winning designer will be invited to the Gillinder Glass Factory to make the first production sun catcher, be presented with this first sun catcher as a gift, receive recognition in all press releases and advertising (with their permission) and be represented in the 2013 Gillinder Glass calendar

The winning design will be selected on Thursday, May 17 at 6:30 pm at the Hub.
