LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — On Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22, the public can help repair bikes and trails in the Livingston Manor area in celebration of Earth Day 2012. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Morgan Outdoors at 46 Main St. will host a Flat Fix Clinic with Charlie Sanborn of Cinder Track Bicycles. Bring in your old or new bike (or wheel with flat tire) and Sanborn will patch it for a minimal fee, first come, first served.

On Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., join the trail crew fixing up the Frick and Hodge Pond trails in nearby Mongaup State Park. Crew tasks range from easy snipping to clearing blown down trees and fixing wet trail sections. No experience needed. Veteran trail fixer Jeff Senterman, of the NY-NJ Trail Conference will provide training and tools. Bring work gloves, water, lunch, loppers or clippers if you have them.

Meet at 11:00 am at the Frick Pond Parking Lot, Beech Mtn. Road, Mongaup State Park. RSVP to Lisa at 845/439-5507. Visit www.morgan-outdoors.com.
