NEW YORK CITY — Hannah Ross of Narrowsburg, NY will perform her senior recital at The Juilliard School’s Paul Hall at 155 West 65th Street in Manhattan on April 19 at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Works include pieces by Bach, Prokofiev, Bruch and Hindemith.

Ross will be accompanied on the piano by Yi-Fang Huang. She has been playing viola for seven years and has attended numerous summer festivals including Interlochen, Tanglewood and Heifitz. Currently a senior at Juilliard, she is a GLUCK Community Service fellow, which provides her with interactive performance experiences in Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs. She studies with Heidi Casteman and Hsin-Yun Huang.

Ross was home schooled, and is the daughter of Alice and Richard Ross of Cochecton Center, NY. This summer she will be traveling to Tanzania for the third consecutive year as part of the Arusha Arts Initiative wherein Juilliard musicians, actors and dancers work to empower disadvantaged youth and assist them with their efforts to pass secondary school admission examinations. She has been accepted for graduate studies in the fall at The Juilliard School, New England Conservatory and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
