CALLICOON, NY — Come to the Sullivan County Farmers’ Market this Sunday, April 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Callicoon Creek Park, Audrey Dorrer Drive, for a chance to name a kid goat or lamb in support of the Sullivan County Farmers’ Markets Association. Note that the market will be held outside this weekend.
Each naming comes with a birth certificate and photo, making it a perfect unique gift for Easter or Passover. The cost is $20 for one naming or $15 per naming for two or more. Marketgoers will also have a chance to have a photo taken with a very special baby goat for a donation of $10 (photos will be emailed electronically).
“The babies at Kortright Creek Creamery at Stone & Thistle Farm have been born and need names,” said Denise Warren of Stone & Thistle Farm.
“We’ve been running out of ideas for names over the years, we’re excited to have some new ones,” said Linda Smith of Sherman Hill Farmstead.
