LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — On Sunday, April 1, Morgan Outdoors will unveil its sixth annual “The Great Outdoors—Quilts Celebrating Nature” show at 46 Main Street. The public is invited to the opening reception on April 1 from 2 to 3 p.m. The quilts will be on display from April 1 to 29.
Also on display are quilts created in 2006 at the Liberty Public Library as part of a program “Kids who Quilt for Kids,” coordinated by adult program leaders Dot Goldstein and Maureen Christian. The small framed quilts were inspired by noted author Eric Carle’s children’s book covers, notably “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” Livingston Manor Free Library will host a series of Eric Carle story times for children age three to five during the month of April at Morgan Outdoors (schedule TBA). There’s also a child-friendly “Eye Spy” game. For more information call 845/439-5507.
