MILFORD, PA — The Pike County Historical Society and the Columns Museum will celebrate President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday on Sunday, February 12, with a luncheon in his honor. The Columns Museum is home to the Lincoln Flag, which adorned the Presidential box at Ford’s Theatre the night of Lincoln’s assassination, and is stained with his blood. The luncheon starts at 12:30 p.m. and includes a serving of the society’s director’s Chicken and Stars soup, assorted sandwiches and, of course, a slice of birthday cake.

Reminiscences of a young Abe Lincoln will be read and museum admission is included. The cost for the luncheon is $12 and proceeds benefit the Lincoln Flag’s Preservation Fund. Reservations are required; call 570/296-8126.

The Columns Museum, located at 608 Broad St., is open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Visit pikecountyhistoricalsociety.org or call 570/296-8126.
