Lou Jawitz photos at Old Stone House

HASBROUCK, NY — The extraordinary work of local photographer Louis Jawitz will be on display starting July 10th at the Old Stone House in an exhibit titled “The Secular & the Other-Worldly,” opening on Sunday, July 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. The exhibit will last through the end of July.

Jawitz’s images have been widely exhibited in numerous New York City galleries, including Nikon House, and in upstate New York at the Catskill Art Society and the Red Eft Gallery. His previous exhibit at the Old Stone House set a turnout record. His photographs are part of the permanent collection of the Liberty Museum & Arts Center in Liberty. He has also been an adjunct professor at Sullivan County Community College, a guest lecturer at the New School of Social Research and is the creator of the Neversink Photo Workshop.
