Local art teacher exhibits at library

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Valerie Taggart is currently displaying her watercolors and botanical drawings at the Livingston Manor Free Library on upper Main Street, across from the firehouse.

Taggart received a BA in Art Education from Elmira College and a MA in Painting/Printmaking from SUNY Oswego. She is employed as an elementary art teacher at Livingston Manor Central School. Painting almost exclusively in watercolors for the past 20 years, she has studied with artists Jack Yelle, Fred Sklenar and Roberta Rosenthal. The exhibit will run through the summer.
