BETHEL, NY — Bethel Woods Center for the Arts will present Music & Astronomy Under the Stars (MAUS) on Sunday, June 12, providing families with the opportunity to make telescopic observations while they wait for the Deep Purple performance to begin. Observations of the sun will take place prior to the concert, while the moon, planets, stars and nebulae can be seen after the performance. A concert ticket is required to stargaze from inside the gates.
The educational program is run through Hofstra University by Dr. Donald Lubowich. It is offered alongside the Museum at Bethel Woods’ Spaced Out! Exhibit, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first American in space, at the museum through Saturday, June 26. Visit www.BethelWoodsCenter.org or call 866/781-2922.
