LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — There will be a 5K walk for the arts, supporting the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA), around Lake Huntington on Sunday, June 5. It begins at 10 a.m. at Gasko & Meyer Distributors, 436 State Route 52.
Registration costs $10 for adults, $5 for ages 10 to 16, and $5 for dogs (on leashes only). Pledge forms can be picked up at the Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main St, Narrowsburg, NY, online at ArtsAllianceSite.org, or by calling 845/252-7576. Pledge forms must be submitted by 9:30 a.m. on June 5. First, second and third prizes will be awarded those who bring in the most pledges.
Raffle tickets for an Otter 9-foot kayak from Alice’s Wonderland (Greeley, PA) will be available. Raffle tickets cost $2 each or three for $5, and are available at the Delaware Arts Center.
The walk is part of the Arts Alive Drive, a year-long $100,000 fundraising effort for the DVAA. The sponsor is Delaware Valley Farm & Garden (proprietor, Richard Wolfe), and the mile marker supporters are American Electric, Cochecton Oil and John Hector Realty.
