CALLICOON, NY — Nellie Burnham’s Tea Room will make its annual appearance at St. James Episcopal Church on Route 17B, across from Roche’s Garage, on Saturday, May 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. It’s an authentic cream tea, just like you would find at many a parish hall in England.
In addition to a wide selection of teas, there will be Miss Burnham’s Famous Scones with cream and home made marmalade, finger sandwiches, dainty cookies and more. If you wish to look the part of a proper English lady, you may show off that hat you bought for the royal wedding, or borrow one of the millinery creations that will be available for you to wear. Red Hat ladies are encouraged to come in full millinery finery.
A donation of $9 is requested to further the work of the church. Call 845/887-5454 or Nellie at 607/498-4614.
