BETHEL, NY — Pianists Eva-Maria Zimmermann and Keisuke Nakagoshi, aka ZOFO, will come to the Bethel Woods Event Gallery on Thursday, October 19 at 8 p.m. with duet arrangements of music by Debussy, Ravel, Holst, Stravinsky and others. Part of the PLAY the Classics series, a Shandelee Music Festival/Bethel Woods Center for the Arts collaboration, it will be followed by a dessert reception.

Zimmermann has appeared as soloist in Europe and the United States, offering performances that are “passionate and deeply expressive” (Berner Oberlander). Winner of the prestigious Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship, she has appeared at international festivals worldwide, including the “Festival Piano en Saintonge” France and the “Sommerfestspiele Murten” Switzerland.

Nakagoshi has performed to acclaim on concert stages across the United States, including the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. He is pianist-in-residence at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the award-winning Opera Parallele.
