LIBERTY, NY — The Liberty Parks & Recreation Department’s special ski pass program offers residents two passes for the price of one. Residents can enjoy family skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing at Villa Roma Ski Hill in Callicoon, where visitors can take advantage of the on-site ski school to help inexperienced visitors learn skiing and snowboarding techniques. As part of the special ski pass program, lift tickets, rentals and lessons all cost $10 per person. Snow tubing takes place on Fridays for $10 per person and on Sundays for $15 per person. Guests must be a minimum of 43 inches tall for skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing.

Residents can also relish winter fun at Holiday Mountain Ski Park, located in Monticello. The Liberty Parks & Recreation ski pass program provides residents with lift tickets and ski rentals for $13 per person as well as snowboarding rentals for $20 per person. Group and private lessons are also available; call for details. Snow tubing is available in a two-hour session for $15 per person.

To take advantage of these rates, Liberty residents must purchase a Liberty Parks & Recreation ski ID card for $10, which is a one-time fee, before going to either venue. Ski ID-card purchases can be made at the Liberty Parks & Recreation office. For more information call 845/292-7690 or visit www.townofliberty.org.
