NARROWSBURG, NY — Join Two Rivers Zen Community on Friday, March 9 for a showing of “How To Cook Your Life,” a film by Doris Dorrie.
Jeannette Catsoulis of The New York Times writes: “A jaunty mix of chanting, baking and spiritual uplift, ‘How to Cook your Life’ introduces us to the cooking classes of Edward Espé Brown, a twinkling Zen priest and vegetarian chef... his road to enlightenment seems as rocky as our own.” Kenneth Turanof The Los Angeles Times calls it: “An unexpectedly charming and enlightening film.”
The zendo is located on the second floor of 76 Main St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the film begins promptly at 7. Free popcorn. Donations to Two Rivers gratefully accepted.
