HONESDALE, PA — Young and beginning farmers and anyone interested in supporting local farmers and in eating farm-fresh food are invited to a free documentary film screening, “Farmers for America,” on Tuesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at The Cooperage, 1030 Main St.

Who will feed us? The average age of the U.S. farmer is 60. Half of America’s farmland is going to change hands in the next 12 years. Twenty percent of our food is imported. This film tells the story of young people who are stepping up.

This event is hosted by PASA, Wayne-Pike Farm Bureau and Honesdale High School’s Future Farmers of America. For more information, contact 570/253-2020 or visit the cooperageproject.org.
