LIBERTY, NY — An Easter egg hunt will take place on Saturday, March 24 in the Village of Liberty. All activities are free thanks to the Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation Department, Liberty Public Library and Liberty Elks Lodge. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, March 25.
At 10 a.m., you can pet the live bunnies and color Easter pictures at the library, 189 N. Main St. The egg hunt starts at 11 a.m. Children ages one to eight will gather on the Liberty Elementary School softball field (201 N. Main St.), meet the Easter Bunny and play games to win prizes. At 12 noon, gather at the Liberty Elks Lodge (21 John St.) for lunch, take a photo with the Easter Bunny and receive an Easter basket filled with goodies. The gathering at the Elks Lodge event will be the only Easter-related event to take place rain or shine.
