Honesdale Police chased erratic driver after driver did not use turn signal

Two youths from Wurtsboro charged with three felonies

Deputies from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at the VEO Mobil gas station on Kingston Avenue in Wurtsboro, Friday May 27, 2011. Glass on the front door of the location was smashed and a Times Herald Record driver contacted 911 when he found it.  Read more

Fallsburg man arrested for DWI

State Police in Wurtsboro arrested William T Helms, 51 of Fallsburg NY, June 3, 2011 for DWI. Helms was stopped on State Route 42 for a traffic violation. Helms was intoxicated and arrested for DWI. At SP Wurtsboro, Helms submitted to a chemical test and was found to have a BAC of .08%. After being processed, Helms was released to a third part and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Thompson court June 16 at 4:00pm.
